81 Best Hiking Hashtags & Camping Hashtags for Instagram

Hiking is a wonderful pastime that I hope everyone gets to experience at least once. It’s one of my favorite things to do, and I can’t say enough good things about it. It’s good for your physical health, good for your mental health, and if done responsibly, is good for the environment, because it brings funding to protected areas.

(Just make sure to never litter, and live by the code pack it in, pack it out, which means if you bring something with you, you leave with it.)

Whether you’re an avid hiker or someone who has just tried it for the first time, it’s likely that you might want to post some pictures from your trip. Who doesn’t love to share photos of fun experiences?

And while some people aren’t concerned about visibility or going viral, if you clicked on this post, I’m going to assume that you want others to see your post, and as many as possible. To help with that, I’ve put together a lengthy list of some of my favorite hiking hashtags, and the ones that will get you the most visibility.

Let’s get to it!

HIKING HASHTAGS

First, before I get into the list of generic hiking terms and hashtags, I want to say that some of the best hashtags you can use to gain followers and likes are location and event specific hashtags. For instance if you’re hiking at Big Bend National Park, add #bigbend and #bigbendnationalpark as your first hashtags. It’s good practice to do this for every location or event you go to.
